A bit wonky at times so far this season. Will make some mistakes as we go. Will probably spend some benchtime in the premier league . Then be called on and be an absolute mountain for a spell singlehandedly winning us points.

It's what he does.

The original Pele is now referred to as the Khaki Collins.

Don't care about a bit of meaningless home nations banter to be honest. I'm more concerned about the space he gave Diego Costa and that Astra bloke in the 87th minute, but Pele is a warrior, we will need him and I'm glad he's at the club. I do however feel Ogbonna should probably be starting ahead of him.

I wouldn't have minded a smile and a clap or even a cheer but he seemed to take an extraordinary amount of pleasure from it.

Wales and England don't like each other. Why shouldn't he cheer England's exit?

I cheered when Wales went out?

I'm a big fan of the Ginger Pele but must confess I was a bit disappointed by the way he cheered England's defeat to Iceland at the Euros. Should have a bit more respect for the country where he earns his living.

Puts his head where other players wouldn't put their foot.

If I owned a sheep, I would happily let him fuck it.

I would have him in my team every week. He does have a tendency to go long but so does the whole team when the creative middle isn't there. And a great strike at Chelsea. Got a couple of years in him still I reckon.

He's actually underated. genuinely think he could play for any PL club without looking out of place.

Married to an Essex bird apparantly, which is one reason why he was pleased to stick around.

I echo this. One of my favourite players in both stints.

Am I right in thinking DUXBURY sold him off to Villa against his will?

Great servant to the club.

Born and grew up in Wales but he's very much a cockney boy now. He clearly loves the club.

The sort of player who will always be welcome back at the club and who will always get a warm reception from the fans.

He strikes me as someone who would make a good neighbour, the kind of guy who'd help you put a shed up, fire up your bbq if you couldn't get it going or lend you his mower if yours was knackered!

As for a centre half, Google the phrase 'no-nonsense' and up pops a picture of Ginge

As a defender sometimes to relieve the pressure you have to go long. If the options you have put the receiving player under pressure again it limits your options. The only thing i will say is that punting a ball up to Valencia will not work, you have to hit the channel and that invariably will drag him wide which means you need a bit of 3rd man running...

The errors are all to easy to pick up, but what about the tackles and last ditch blocks that he puts in? People always pick up on the negatives, but he was probably our most reliable defender last year. We're only a few games in to the season, judge him over more games.
